Encapsulated Citric Acid
We manufacture Encapsulated Citric Acid by wurster coating process.
Micro Encapsulated Citric Acid is manufactured by spraying suitable coating material on well sized particles of the core product being encapsulated. Wurster coating is a very precise way of coating any material and it is extensively used in pharmaceutical industry. We use only pure grade of the active product suitable for use in food and pharmaceutical industry.
We encapsulate citric acid by two different coating materials.
1. Citric Acid Encapsulated with polymer for use in oil well fracturing. Polymer coated slow release or extended release citric aid is used in shale gas fracturing.
2.
Citric Acid Encapsulated with hydrogenated vegetable oil for use in
food industry. Hydrogenated palm oil or Hydrogenated soybean oil will have a sharp release at say 55-60C (about 130-140F) or say 65-70C (about 150-160F). This can be called temperature based release.
Specifications of Micro-encapsulated Citric Acid:
Assay of Citric Acid: 80% or as required.
Assay of coating medium: Balance.
Appearance: White granules.
Lead: Not more than 5 mg/kg.
Particle size: Uniform particle size in microns as per buyers need.
